Cransley Village Fete

November 23, 2009

The band turned out to the picturesque village of Cransley for their Annual Fete this year. The weather was slightly unpredictable and the Band set up under a marquee provided for us by the organisers. It was a tight squeeze but the Band managed to fit in, well, all bar Christian (priniciple cornet), Russell (Principle Euph) and Roy (Solo Trom) so they felt the turning of the weather more than other members of the Band! Luckily, after half an hour the rain stopped and glorious sunshine ensued! David Read (MBE) was the conductor for this concert and the Band thank him very much for the great job he did. And thank you to Sue Essam who stood next to David with an Umbrella when the rain began to fall! I am sure David was very grateful! Another enjoyable concert with some good music played.
