The band has received a further 300 funding from the Council's Empowering Councillors and Communities Scheme, most of which has been used to purchase two marching drums (bass and snare) with carriers, the remainder being used to buy new music. Our grateful thanks once again to the Council and to Councillor Dudley Hughes for his support. St. Mary's Church - Little Addington

May 31, 2015

Raunds have performed at St. Mary's Church in Little Addington for a number of Christmases and after calls for us to play at a spring/summer concert, this finally took place on Saturday 23rd May. The church used it to launch an appeal to raise 20,000 to build a Sunday School room which will also double as a meeting room for the village to use. A small but appreciative audience enjoyed a very demanding programme of traditional pieces, show tunes and hits from the pop charts. Many of the pieces had been chosen by prior request. The concert featured a solo from our new Solo Euphonium player Robin Kempton, followed by a Euphonium duet, Robin being joined by 2nd Euph Andy Overhead. Probably the highlight of the evening for the band though was the scones and cakes available at the interval! The band already have this year's Christmas concert lined up for the 12th December.

Northamptonshire County Council Grant

March 15, 2017

The band has received funding from the Council's Empowering Councillors and Communities Scheme to the tune of 250, which has been used to purchase new music. We would like to thank the Council and in particular, Councillor Dudley Hughes for his help in obtaining the grant and his continued support of Raunds Temps. With no sponsors, funding such as this enables the band to continue to thrive and to proudly represent the community.

The programme consisted of a variety of well known favourites including selections of swing, big band, film, theatre and the overture 'Light Cavalry'. The penultimate piece was the popular Riverdance, arr Farr followed by a finale of 1812 Overture accompanied by some very impressive fireworks! A good night had by all!
