Welcome to Oscar!

We're thrilled that Oscar has joined our horn section. Oscar started playing the cornet at the age of 8 before switching to the tenor horn, which he quickly developed a passion for. He currently plays with Youth Brass 2000 and the Northamptonshire County Youth Brass Band, and he particularly enjoys performing as part of ensembles.

A highlight of his playing career so far has been performing at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the Gala Concert at the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.

Alongside performing, he created a video to accompany The Dark Side of the Moon for the Music for Youth Proms and National Festival, exploring how music can be enhanced visually.

You'll be able to hear Oscar at our Spring Concert on 23 May at the Saxon Hall.
